Chief Executive Officer
Ammar is the CEO of Strataphy and holds a PhD in Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before founding Strataphy, a clean-energy start-up, in 2017, Ammar gained extensive experience as a geophysicist with Saudi Aramco, where he led geophysical data acquisition teams, data processing initiatives, and vertical prospect generation projects. Notably, he was part of the first team at Saudi Aramco to acquire and process data for unconventional resources in northern Saudi Arabia, near the target area in this proposal. During this tenure, he managed 3D seismic and non-seismic field data acquisition, initial processing in the field, and later, advanced data processing and prospect generation upon his return to Dhahran.
Chief Operation Officer
Ahmed is the Chief Operating Officer of Strataphy, bringing extensive experience as an exploration geoscientist. With a degree in physics and a specialization in geophysics, Ahmed began his career at Saudi Aramco as an exploration geophysicist. Over his first three years, he rotated through roles in seismic processing, interpretation, and operational geology at rig sites, gaining a comprehensive foundation in exploration.
Chief Commercial Officer
Gabriel serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Strataphy, bringing over a decade of engineering expertise in upstream oil and gas operations. An experienced and results-driven professional, Gabe has a strong track record in managing complex drilling, completion, and production projects, as well as implementing effective in-field data collection processes.
Mechanical Engineer
Ahmed AlShayeb is a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a B.S. from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, currently working at Strataphy. Ahmed started gaining experience during his time at college, where he worked as a Student Assistant at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals Bookstore, providing customer service and managing inventory. After that, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer Trainee at Termomeccanica Saudi Co. LTD, where he attended training sessions and workshops to enhance his technical skills and knowledge. At Strataphy, Ahmed has contributed to implementing the company’s technology in Saudi Arabia and Oman, assisting in the preparation for field operations and executing projects according to plans. He also led a field team in NEOM, overseeing geothermal heating and cooling operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Senior Geologist
Chelsea entered the geothermal sector in 2016 as a Geologist with a specialization in 3D subsurface conceptual modeling. Previously, she worked with Reykjavik Geothermal in Iceland on numerous geothermal projects across greenfield and brownfield sites, developing a deep understanding of geothermal system dynamics. Her experience spans essential geoscientific practices, including conceptual modeling, resource characterization, and well targeting, as well as surface exploration, data acquisition, and interpretation—all critical to effective geothermal development.
Senior Geologist
Mr. Chandra is a seasoned geothermal geologist with over 10 years of experience across more than ten geothermal fields, primarily focused on advancing geothermal energy initiatives in Indonesia and, more recently, in the Middle East. His expertise encompasses geoscience exploration (geology, geochemistry and geophysics), 3D geological modeling, resource characterization, well targeting, well prognostication, and well siting. Additionally, he extends his skills to energy modeling and the installation of ground-source heat pumps for heating and cooling applications.
Drilling Engineer
Thoroddur Sigurdsson is a seasoned Drilling Engineer based in Reykjavik, Iceland, with extensive expertise in geothermal drilling and a career spanning projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Currently a Drilling Engineering Consultant at SANS Engineering, Thoroddur has contributed to key geothermal projects for companies such as Reykjavik Geothermal, COWI, and Eden GeoTech, focusing on design, planning, and drilling supervision. His project portfolio includes significant roles in geothermal initiatives in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, and Spain, where he applies his deep technical knowledge to optimize geothermal exploration and development.
Electrical Engineer
Remar Domingo is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a diverse technical background spanning over 15 years. He served as a Senior Rig Electrician at Shaleem Petroleum Company S.A.O.C. in the Sultanate of Oman from March 2008 to August 2023, where he honed his expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in high-demand, high-skill environments.
Office and Logistics Manager
Fahad is a seasoned HR and Government Relations professional with extensive experience in managing government compliance, optimizing HR operations, and building strategic partnerships. Over the past decade, he has contributed to organizations such as King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and co-founded a successful physical therapy center, showcasing his capability in both governmental and entrepreneurial environments. His expertise lies in navigating complex government procedures and ensuring that organizational policies align seamlessly with regulatory requirements.
Head of Finance
Rahman Yousaf is a seasoned accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in managing financial operations for corporations and individuals. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Strataphy, Rahman oversees all aspects of financial transactions, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with precision and dedication.
Mechanical Engineer
Sami is a mechanical engineer with five years of experience and a master’s degree from The University of Manchester. Throughout his studies, he secured six internships and fellowships in the manufacturing, military, and energy sectors. His background includes a fellowship in armored part design and manufacturing at SAMI, an internship at Cisco Systems in California focused on PCB design and product testing, and a Siemens internship supervising gas turbine assembly. Since 2021, he has conducted analysis and research in subsurface resource thermodynamics and fluid simulation with Strataphy. Currently, Sami is pursuing a PhD at Ohio State University, focusing on fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and neutron decay interactions in a centrifugal nuclear thermal propulsion rocket.
Senior Consultant
Maher AlMarhoon is a Senior Consultant with Strataphy, bringing over three decades of experience in geology and geophysics. A highly accomplished leader, Maher has guided multidisciplinary teams in cutting-edge projects across exploration, research, and technology development. He previously held key positions at Saudi Aramco, including Chief Technologist of Geology Research and Manager of the Exploration Special Projects Division, where he spearheaded initiatives in geothermal and hydrogen resource exploration. His expertise spans seismic interpretation, geophysical data analysis, and the development of innovative methodologies to reduce exploration uncertainties. With 20 patents to his name, Maher has significantly contributed to advancements in seismic data interpretation, geological automation, and modeling.
